Understand IPTV

An IPTV player is not an IPTV subscription

Understand the difference between a player app, its licence and IPTV Lux service access so you do not pay for the wrong thing.

A player is the interface you use to watch. A subscription supplies the access that a compatible player opens. Confusing the two is a common reason for a newly installed app showing an empty screen.

01

What an app purchase provides

A third-party player licence generally unlocks that application’s features. It does not automatically include channels, movies or an IPTV Lux account. Read the app listing and its developer’s payment terms before purchasing a licence.

02

What IPTV Lux access provides

Your confirmed service details connect your supported player to the assigned account or portal. The term and simultaneous connections belong to that subscription. Our own player is available on supported platforms, with setup help and the built-in VPN feature where supported. It is not a universal app for every operating system.

03

Keep the identities clear

Several unrelated products use names containing Lux. Use iptvlux.live for this service’s requests and follow the player instructions supplied by our support team. A similar name, icon or search result does not establish an association. If you already have a player, tell us its exact name and device before replacing it.

Interfaces and app availability can vary by model, software version and region. Ask support for instructions that match your exact device.
